John Sitting in the Tub

Each time before when we tried to see if John wanted to sit up in his baby bathtub instead of lying down, he didn't like it. Tonight when I set him in his bath, he sat upright and didn't want to lie down. He became fascinated by his own reflection in the mirror.

  1. How old is John now? I can't remember his bday. He is adorable. Are you and Chris doing OK? Curt, Carli, and I are doing well. Carli turned 8 months old this past Sunday (born 9/27/06).

  2. It seems like a really long time ago that I was counting all these things as milestones. :-) Unlike you I did not have a blog at the time. I sometimes remembered to scribble something on the wall calendar that day. You will probably be very glad when you look back on how you viewed all these accomplishments! But, poor John will likely be extremely embarrassed. :-) Yeah, blogging sure has its benefits. One of these days I am going to lay out all my entries from day 1 nicely and get it printed in color and bound at kinko's. :-)

  4. Mariah: Carli is such a big girl now! John will be six months old in a few days. We're doing great here!

  5. Sarah: I have the same plan about printing out the blog (although I hadn't thought to get it bound at Kinko's!). Chris just suggested I could also consider saving it to pdf (by printing it to Adobe).

Before I saw your blog comment, I had just been commenting to Chris how strange it will be to have future babies (God willing). With John we feel amazing wonder at every little thing he does, but with other babies, we'll be expecting it and it will be more normal. The firstborn really is a unique experience! But I suppose the later born babies provide different, unique experiences.
