Second Foray Into Cloth Diapering

Our first attempt at cloth diapering didn't work because of John's skinny chicken legs, so I consulted with the Cloth Diapering Queen, Julie (http://www.juliestuff.com), from whom we bought our diapering supplies. She explained that John won't fit the Fuzzi Bunz all-in-ones until he weighs about ten pounds. But she encouraged me to try the Chinese Prefolded Diapers with the Bummis Super Industrial Super Snap Covers, which had initially intimidated me, saying that they can be folded to fit more snugly.

We have been through several rounds of cloth diapers now--during the daytime when we're conveniently at home--with great success! So far, we're still using disposables when we're out on the town and at night (when we're too groggy to fold cloth).

And we still get laughs out of John's bubble-like behind!

  1. It's mostly for health reasons and to save money, with environmental reasons (fewer diapers in the landfills) as a secondary benefit. I'm experimenting with great hopes that cloth will work for our family. But if cloth diapering does not work for us, then we can easily use disposables!
