Katherine Recieves Blessing

After John's baptism, I received a blessing called the Churching of Women which is given to a woman upon her return to church after having a baby.




Here is a picture of us standing at the altar of our church with our priest and our good friend Orlando who were assisting at the baptism.

John wore a baptismal gown which was given to us by his great-aunt Erica who obtained it while on pilgrimage in Ireland. He is also wearing the Rosary of his great-grandfather Hugh Francis Cousins, and two beautiful gold religious medals given to him for the occasion by his grandmother Dottie.
