After a two-year hiatus, our neighborhood hosted its annual carriage rides to look at Christmas lights. The event was so lovely, with probably 300 neighbors showing up to enjoy cocoa, kettle corn, and cookies while waiting in line for the two sets of majestic draft horses and carriages. Each carriage came with a Santa leading us in carols. It was truly a great family evening, even though our three older children each had other commitments.
