Happy 5th Birthday to our sweet David!
I would have posted this yesterday evening, but, as you all saw, we ended his birthday celebration with a little trip to the Hilton Head Emergency Room for a fractured thumb (as all the Urgent Cares were closed).
David is an extremely cheerful and energetic boy. I think of him as my ‘feral child’ because I disappeared from his life for 4.5 months when Thomas was critically ill. David was only newly three at the start of that ordeal and he definitely got the least of my attention of all my preschoolers through ages three and four. David is excited to start Kindergarten and participate at CCE on Friday mornings . . . And I am bemused to see if he can learn to sit in a chair for more than about 60 seconds or to stop chattering for that long! Happy birthday to my wee baby snuggle bug!
A "happy camper" is an apt description of David!
Crying because he had fractured his thumb while I was putting candles on his cake, about 15 minutes earlier, and I was trying to distract him to judge the degree of injury.
Oh no! Glad to see him smiling after his thumb injury was resolved.
