Today (February 12) is the one-year anniversary of Thomas being declared "N.E.D." (No Evidence of Disease of cancer). Our family remains so grateful that our surgeon was able to remove all of Thomas's cancer since chemotherapy was ineffective.
By coincidence--or is it God's little wink at us?--today is also the day we brought home A SECOND PUPPY! We have been loving having Nicky as our first puppy so much that we decided to get two. (No, we're not planning to buy more and more, nor are we planning to breed.)
Meet Tilly (short for Matilda), a female ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Nicky is 6.5 weeks older than her. Tilly is 5 lbs 1 oz at 12 weeks old (whereas Nicky was already 6 lbs 9 oz at 8 weeks); her parents were smaller than Nicky's parents, so she should always be smaller.
We are all madly in love with this little fluffball. So far, she is as feisty as her name, which means "mighty warrior." Dear Nicky is quite shy of her (one might say he is really scared!), but after many controlled meetings today, they did take a 2-hour nap together. They're going to become BEST FRIENDS.
We are all madly in love.
