Self-Isolation Day #40

Wednesday, Self-Isolation Day #40

We request continued prayers for my husband's mother D. She has been sick for almost four weeks, alone in the hospital for three, and is now on her second stretch of being on a ventilator in order to give her lungs support for longer while they heal.

David had a third rough night of two hour-long crying jags in my arms, but his daytime was much better. He still requires a lot of care as a toddler with a hard cast, but just to have him basically cheerful and not crying all day long made all the difference.

Swinging with a cast!
We are back to full-time school this week, although it certainly took a big hit the first two days back due to David!

You know how much a homeschooling mother enjoys opening a new box of pencils, not just any pencils by Ticonderoga No. 4 pencils? Well, now we know how much a four-year-old enjoys opening up such a box and taking sharp scissors to snip off every single eraser down to the nub. He even announced it to me proudly, "Look, Mama! I'm cutting all the erasers off!"

In the evening, I got to participate in a Zoom Mothers' Night Out with half a dozen other ladies from my homeschool circle: very refreshing!
