Bedtime Blessings

The Catholic tradition of parents giving their children blessings at bedtime is so beautiful. I was inspired to provide a link to another blogger on the subject in hopes more parents will enjoy adopting this practice.

Our six-year-old in particular wants to make sure to receive a blessing from both parents, so if I forget, she slips out of her room to come find me, obtain her blessing, and head back to bed.

    What a sweet gesture and custom. My own mother blesses me whenever we part ways, and does the sign of the cross on me. I don't know why I haven't adopted this custom!
