Happy Michaelmas!
Today we donned our rain boots and went for a neighborhood rain walk, splashing in puddles and rescuing worms who were drowning in the gutters.
Then we came home and enjoyed my first batch of homemade hot cocoa mix of the season and blueberry muffins. "Mama, will you read to us? Please, please, will you read about Alexander the Great?"
I didn't do anything traditional to note Michaelmas today, although serving blueberry muffins turns out to be a close to the traditional blueberry crumble. (And I did teach a lesson on angels and made St. Michael paper dolls with the children at last Friday's co-op.)
