Perhaps it wasn't Mardis Gras around here, but Shrove Tuesday meant traditional pancakes for breakfast (and eating up dessert at night before no dessert for most of Lent!) . . . followed by our attendance at the first play at the children's theater for the spring season and our usual Tuesday afternoon at the farm, where they had in the new baby chicks.
