When Will School Begin?!

I have a li'l problem.

The kids really want to start the new school year.

They keep asking me. Every day. "Mama, can we do some school? Why haven't we done school time today? Can we do some more school? Could we do some school with you during Quiet Time?"

This is not typically a problem we've had. More often I've experienced those days of dragging them into school kicking and screaming.

I keep trying to explain that we are doing school, it's just really short summer school. We'll be starting the new school year, but this week I'm super busy finishing summer projects, sewing the fall wardrobe, learning our next textbooks for the new year (I do have to stay one step ahead of the children!), and planning for travel (no small matter). Honey, I'm really busy!

"Pleeeease, can we do some school?"

It's a good problem to have. There will be plenty of days of kicking and screaming when I'll be wishing for this problem.
