Hafsa: I offer you all my encouragement! I don't know the details of your history. I think it's extremely useful to read LLL's "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding." (Unfortunately, the latest edition talks about "partners" and other liberal stuff. You should see the original edition from the 50s--it was totally conservative!) And maybe connect with an IBCLC ahead of time--particularly one who makes home visits because I think that makes a dramatic difference in percentages of women being able to breastfeed.
Well, hopefully moms who read your board can look past those terms they may deem offensive in the Womanly Art. I think the latest edition is an excellent revision in content and style. As we like to say at La Leche League, take what you want, and leave the rest here (or in the book ). :)
