Sweet Swimsuit

The new swimsuit we had ordered for Mary arrived in time for the children's second swimming lesson. She loved it so much, she wore it around the house and asked if she could sleep in it. (The swim skirt has sewn-in, form-fitting shorts.)

It is difficult for me to take photos during the swimming lesson because I try to exclude other people from the shots.

When the teacher is working with one child, the other children in the lesson are waiting at the ledge or waiting at an "island" in the middle of the pool.

Baby feeling triumphant!

Speaking of little Margaret, about to turn one, last week she made her first sign (MORE) and that appears to have been her "Helen Keller moment." I love to see the dawning of two-way communication. Now Margaret signs MORE while saying "mah!" and signs ALL DONE. She says "nah!" when I say 'no' or even when she just wanders over to an area where she knows she isn't allowed (e.g., at the bottom of the ungated stairway, she'll say, "nah! nah! nah!").
