John following along a free piano lesson on YouTube--he can now tell me what a scale is, which keys are which notes, and proper and improper hand position
My husband really wanted to give our 5.5 yo a keyboard for Christmas (despite our piano and organ!) as he received one at that age (despite the several pianos in their house-- including a grand!) and he has very fond memories of toodling around on it and really improving his musicality. So, we have a 61-key, 400 tone keyboard in the playroom now, and I have to say it IS fun! LOL!
That's so cool! What is that computer thingy he is watching?
ReplyDeleteElaine: That is Chris' iPad. It's basically like a giant iPhone but without the phone capability.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to use Youtube for piano lessons!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see and read about John's progress!

Courtney: That is so funny, but I can see how a keyboard would have an extra fun factor.
