Mama dressed in daytime clothing and teeth brushed? Yes! Mama's hair brushed, or wearing jewelry or makeup? No! Mama still ate breakfast in bed, delivered by husband? Yes! Mamas take baby steps too . . .Some little updates:
* Margaret regained to her birth weight at 12 days old. Nursing started to improve at days 6 and 7 and is now going great with only a few more bumps to smooth out.
* She is starting to "settle" a bit. She now seems to have a longer period of quiet wakefulness in the morning, plus one in the late evening. During the rest of the day, Margaret fluctuates between long, deep naps and cluster nursing and mini-naps. Overnight she wakes about five times to nurse, plus has one or two fussy periods of up to an hour.
* I am benefitting so much from a lot of help from our babysitter this week. Miss Rachel has probably spent 25 hours with us this week, which has made a world of difference for me. I'm feeling so much stronger already and am more optomistic about week three when I'll be in charge again.
