July 5, 2010

On Monday morning, I got to slip away for breakfast with my dear friend Elaine. Then I came back to the hotel and we all checked out.

We visited one more time at the grandparents' home, chatting with Uncle Brian and Neighbor Ron. The children passed the time by washing our van.

Chris invented a homemade version of Disneyland's tea cups ride . . .

. . . and Mary enjoyed sliding around on a skateboard.

One thing I was nervous about on the trip was Mary being so newly in potty training. I was daring and did not even bring any diapers with us on the trip, but I was prudent by keeping Mary in her waterproof trainers. I am so pleased that she had only two accidents--both contained--despite the four-hour car drives (plus other hour-long drives within Atlanta), being in a hotel room, various public places, and private homes. Wonderful!
