Friday

When I take the kids outside, they march straight to one of the "digging spots," such as these bit pots of dirt. I decided this season not to plant any flowers in them because the pots provide far more enjoyment to me by keeping my children occupied for half an hour at a time while I read a book in the shade of a tree. (Note Mary's teacup: She is dainty and likes to dig dirt with such pretty cups!)

One of the cutest sights is a toddler with a bucket, I think.

I was cooking dinner and tried to peel off a paper towel, but it was stuck. "Stuck? Why is this stuck?" I turned around the roll and discovered that my son had sealed it shut with some beautiful Catholic stickers. Who could be grumpy at that?
