We discovered yesterday on a rug-shopping trip to IKEA that that store sells a wonderful assortment of inexpensive play kitchen accouterments (but not play food). We stocked up and the children have had no end of fun playing "kitchen" since yesterday. Also, I moved the play kitchen into the real kitchen, so they're "cooking" while I'm cooking.
So awesome!!! Looks like tons of fun!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I'm going to have to check out IKEA. Emma needs more accessories to go with her kitchen!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! We just adore our play kitchen as well. I've been making wool felt play food my my boys and my niece...could I make a few pieces for your little ones?
ReplyDeleteCourtney: You're too sweet to even offer! I'd love wool felt play food, but I couldn't possibly trouble you. I mean, if you make some for us, I'd be thrilled to have it (and I'll email you my address), but I hate to put you out.
ReplyDeleteOh, it's no trouble! It's my hobby. :-D Here's what I did recently: http://zuzusperch.blogspot.com/2010/01/wool-felt-play-food.html Fruits and veggies are so much fun and must-haves for any kitchen I'd say. ;-)
ReplyDeleteCourtney: Oh my! I was impressed thinking that the felt food you were making was one-dimensional. The food you've been making is GORGEOUS! Well, I will be overwhelmed if you make any for us, it would be such a gift. Only if you have time, please!
ReplyDeleteWOW Courtney, that felt food is beautiful (sorry, I had to take a peek)!!!! Amazing work...
ReplyDeleteKatherine: I love those Ikea little dishes. I bought a ceramic tea set for Masha. Unfortunately she can play with it only when Svetlana is asleep or in the tub since Svetlana grabs them, runs with them and throws as hard as she can on the floor. Our little white milk dish is broken already :)
