And in Mary's latest adventures: she is now climbing up the bookshelves in the children's book nook (as seen here). Last night she figured out how to pull a stool next to the bedside table, climb onto the table, then traverse onto the master bed. Today I have pulled her down off the kitchen table many times. As I wrote this blog post, she climbed onto the kitchen windowsill and from there onto the tall chairs in order to get her cup of water up on the counter--I'm seeing a streak of independence in Mary with things like her climbing heights to get her own water rather than just asking me for it.
I think we spent a few weeks with the dining chairs pulled away from the table and placed against the wall when Mary Elizabeth figured out how to climb onto the table. Your Mary may be more wise about pushing other objects closer to accomplish it, though. Good luck!

I must say, Mary sounds like my kind of girl!! Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteAshley: Your guess is right! Mary spends much of her day hauling chairs, stools, and small tables to where she wants so she can climb them and reach something higher.
