Wing Haven Gardens in the Rain

Today we had a date with a mom and her youngest child cancelled because of illness, but we decided to brave the steady drizzle (and mild temperatures) to visit Wing Haven Gardens, as planned. We had a grand time walking the paths, then spending the bulk of our time in the Children's Garden, where we had a picnic. John learned about arrows today, and as we came to each arrow on the path John would tell us which way to walk.

Mary had so much fun walking around in the rain, wearing her rain jacket for the first time (I think it was a hand-me-down from an auntie)--when we had to leave she threw a big back-arching tantrum!
