We recently received boy hand-me-down clothing from some Texas family and girl hand-me-downs from some Georgia family. John loves his boy's cowboy boots, but they won't fit him for a while. This morning he was playing in Mary's closet where he found the girl's cowboy boots she inherited: hot pink with gold edging. Those boots are a lot closer to fitting him and I'm sure he wonders why they were tucked away into a closet! I thought they looked particularly great with his train hat, so I snapped a photo before hiding them away again!
LOL...this kind of reminds me of a friend of mine whose second son just LOVED Dora the Explorer and proudly brought home some pink Dora sneakers from Payless Shoe Source when he was 2 or 3. Guess he thought they were the greatest thing ever. Now that he's a few year older, he's SOO embarrassed. :)
