Mary is a big baby. I did an unofficial (potentially inaccurate) weighing at home and she is about 19 pounds at not yet six months old. (John was 17 pounds 10 ounces at six months.) She is in mostly 9-12 months clothing, but this outfit from today is a 12-month size and she barely squeezes into it and yesterday's dress, which fit well, was size 12-18 months.

Mary really prefers to sit up and see the world, but I can't hold her upright all the time, so one of the ways I can let her sit up safely (both safe from falling over and safe from rough two-year-olds) is in her Pak N Play with the Boppy pillow.

Tonight after a Mother's Day visit to the nearby Baskin Robbins ice cream parlor, we had our own tiny May Crowning with a crown we made from our back yard rose bushes.
Our Lady looks lovely!!
ReplyDeleteSweet Mary is sooo darling! The Boppy and pack and play are real lifesavers, huh?!?
Big baby = healthy baby, in my book. She's adorable!! (Funny how baby weight doesn't correspond to adult weight in many cases. My Mom was born at something crazy like 11 pounds, and as an adult, she stands 5'4" and is healthy at about 120 pounds or thereabouts.)
ReplyDeleteWhat a big beautiful girl!! How tall/long is she?? She is about the same size as my teensy Benjamin (who is 15 months!!). We think he MAY have hit 20lbs. His well check is in about a week....but he is still so short!
ReplyDeleteLove the Mary Crowning!
