At five-and-a-half months, Mary has cut her first teeth, her two lower central incisors. She was a very easy teether. I suspected last Sunday that she had begun teething, but her only signs were sucking her lips, a couple of mild unexplained fussing episodes, and biting me while nursing. Her sleep wasn't even disturbed!
(I compared notes: John's first two teeth were also his lower central incisors, the left cut at six months one week and the right cut at six months three weeks.)
Wow, early teeth! Or so it seems to me...Theo didn't get his first one until he was almost a year old. And he still only has four! How great for you that Mary doesn't seem too bothered by teething!
