When John stumbles in the grass, he holds his hands out stiff so that they don't touch the ground. He's very delicate about it all. Then he whines until I take pity and help him stand up.
I love his "nosey face." SO cute!

Katherine - My Elizabeth used to do the exact same thing with the grass. We thought it was so funny to see her in the grass with "surgeon hands." She literally looked like a surgeon who'd just scrubbed in! I guess that bermuda grass is really prickly, especially to young hands. She did the same thing the first time we went to the beach. She absolutely hated the sand on her hands. It took a couple of years, but she outgrew her dislike of both the grass and the sand!
