Tonight I let John try climbing the stairs for the first time. Of course I was behind him every step of the way in case he fell, but he climbed the stairs with dexterity and speed all by himself. Below is a video of John walking while holding on to Daddy's fingers. He has a ways to go with balancing on his own, but we are impressed with how darned fast he can walk when he has a parent doing the balancing for him!

Practicing Walking with Daddy
Tonight after dinner, John gave me a wonderful 15-minute reprieve: He quietly crawled over to some Tupperware I left on the kitchen floor for him. He spent all that time by himself banging Tupperware and flapping the mat. Fantastic!
