Below is a photo of John learning to use a straw. He doesn't know how to suck liquid up the straw, but if Daddy puts some liquid in the straw, John momentarily blocks it with his tongue, then sucks it down.
I have to buy John new Robeez-style shoes: either Robeez in a larger size than 6-12 months or the looser Target brand. Yesterday, John's shoes wore away the skin in little marks at the front of both ankles!
Wow! John weighs more than Emma!!!
ReplyDeleteHandsome boy!!! Both my boys have large heads like your little John. They get it from their daddy! hehehe My DH, who majored in zoology in college (I say that only to give a little credence to what I am about to say), says that a larger head like your son's and my sons' often indicates a large brain....which might be a good predictor for future high intelligence. :) In your case I am certain that is true. We shall see with my boys, but I think and hope it probably will prove true, too.

Well, Dana Carvey says the Newt Gingrich doesn't have a head, he has a case for a head...and Newt has 2 PhD's
ReplyDeleteJaneane: How much does Emma weigh? John is a boy and he comes from bigger stock (me and Chris) than you and Jason. :)
ReplyDeleteAt her last appointment several weeks ago (at not quite 11 months, to have a teething cyst looked at), she was 19 pounds, 9 ounces. She's almost outgrown her Bjorn! :(
ReplyDeleteLove the Robeez shoes! The cream doggie ones and the cream lion ones are my favorites :-) I just bought the cream lion ones on ebay for Baby Urban!
ReplyDeleteOops! I didn't read that they were hurting him until now! They're very cute nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteOne more thing...if John is so into alligators these days, I just noticed on the Robeez website that they make alligator Robeez!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-)
