30 August 2007

We visited Pioneers Park, which is a requisite and nostalgic trip every time we're in Lincoln.

For dinner we ate at a neat mom-and-pop Mexican restaurant. You know it was good because it was housed in a run-down strip mall of Hispanic shops (like La Moda Calienta--hot fashions), the restaurant itself was hidden at the back of a Mexican grocery store, and the waiter barely spoke English. Yum!
John was wonderfully compliant reading books with "Auntie E."

  1. Is Auntie E your sister? You two look a lot alike! The restaurant must've been really yummy, what did you eat? Did you have many veggie choices?

  2. Lily: Oh, Erica was so delighted at your question! Erica is my aunt and John's great aunt. She is my mother's identical twin sister.

The Mexican restaurant was also authentic in that it had only one or two vegetarian dishes. I had the cheese enchiladas.

  3. (smile) Glad to make Erica's day. You two do look an awful lot alike, I thought for sure you were sisters.
