You know you're a mama when . . . you discover after one o'clock in the afternoon (and after having gone to Mass, Starbuck's, and the mall) that you have a dried smear of baby poop on your body from seven o'clock that morning. The thing is that I knew when John pooped on my leg this morning and made a mental note to wipe it off just after meeting this one immediate need of John's, but that one thing turned into several things and then I found myself at one o'clock. (This is one of those many moments to log away for if my future teenaged son ever tells me that I am embarrassing him.)
Well... thank goodness for long skirts, eh? ;)
ReplyDeletewow, he looks totally comfortable on his feet!
ReplyDeleteHow cute!! Wow, this year sure is flying by - isn't it?! Sounds like you did well at the consignment sale...maybe too well for your hubby's liking, huh? :o)
ReplyDeleteElaine: I had the same thought about long skirts.
ReplyDeleteSarah: I keep waiting to see what other mothers have said: that John will discover he's faster crawling and will come to prefer that. But, no, so far John always prefers to stand and cruise. If he's so much as next to the fireplace hearth (which is short, maybe 6"), he will "pull up" on it and cruise along hunched over rather than crawl.
Shelly: Hubby came with me to the consignment sale and bought items too!
