Here John is playing with his new Lamaze fish bowl (thanks to my Grampa John and Camie!):
And this is why I keep a pillow behind John when he's practicing sitting up on his own! (He topples and doesn't even try to break his own fall.)
During the day I am disciplined about keeping the television turned off. I turn it on for about an hour while I'm making dinner (just finished watching the entire trilogy of Anne of Green Gables, one hour at a time!). Sometimes John is playing in the living room at that time and, if I don't watch him like a hawk, he creeps right to the base of the TV and watches from there. It's creepy.
We gave this fish bowl to our DS at Christmas when he was almost six months. It's still one of his favorite toys! He loves squeaking the clam. Lamaze toys are wonderful, aren't they?

ReplyDeletePunny.
We've received some great Lamaze toys as gift. John's first favorite toy, which lasted for months, was Lamaze's Buzz the Bug.
ReplyDeletewhich lasted for months... the toy or the favoriteness? i would be surprised if the toy got destroyed by such a youngster... the lamaze toys seem very well made?
ReplyDeleteSarah: Buzz the Bug is still in good health! But I don't think he's the favorite anymore, although still a good friend. John just expanded beyond one toy he loved to many toys. He's really into his plastic stacking rings and wooden blocks.
