Now, he can play all kinds of fun games!
- If he concentrates hard enough, he can imitate me lifting my eyebrows up and down like Groucho Marx.
- He likes gentle "airplane games" now (being lifted above my head).
- When I kiss John's tummy or feet, he laughs and laughs. (Why is that funny, when kissing another body part isn't?)
- If I lie on my back on the bed and stand John on my stomach, he thinks his vantage point of looking down on his mama is hilarious.
- When I snort like a pig, John laughs and buries his face in my chest. Over and over and over again. (How does a baby this young know that snorting is funny and not a normal human conversation sound?)
- This isn't a game, per se, but when I kiss John's cheek, he quickly turns his face, opens his mouth wide, and seems to try to "eat" my cheek. Is he trying to kiss me back? I have no idea!
YES!!!!! He is kissing his mommy! It is one of the most tender and precious experiences one can have. Perhaps there is some scientific explanation otherwise. But in my limited mommy experience, whey they do this they do it with such passion that it has to be one of their earliest ways of expressing their undying love for you!
ReplyDeleteAshley, I think you're right! John does "kiss" (eat) my cheek with passion. And it has no correlation with him being hungry (he's not rooting).
