First Foray Into Cloth Diapering

We are going to be trying to use cloth diapers with John, although have been using tiny newborn disposables until this point. Today we tried John in the size small Fuzzi Bunz all-in-one diapers, which are easier to use that Diaper Quality Service Prefolds with a cover (we own those too and will try them later, when we're more proficient).

Chris and I fell into peals of laughter when we saw John sporting his new Fuzzi Bunz. Even in size small, the diaper gives John a rotund rear end.

In the first photo, you can see that the crotch of the diaper comes all the way to John's knees!


In the second photo, note the visible gap the diaper makes around John's skinny chicken legs:




We did not have to wait too long for the results of our experiment: Let's just say that John is still too small to wear these cloth diapers as the gap around his thighs allow his diaper contents to escape in an explosive manner. So, we'll try again when he's gained a few more pounds!
